Dr. Scott Goodman
“Dr. Scott” has been a pediatric dental specialist for over 30 years. He is a graduate of the The Ohio State University. He completed general practice residencies at Memorial Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts and Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University. He completed his pediatric specialty training by earning a Masters degree at The University of Iowa.
Dr. Goodman is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and is a member of, and has held leadership positions in, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, The North Carolina Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the Charlotte Dental Society.
Dr. Goodman's volunteer activities include teaching residents at Univ of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio, University of Tennessee,VCU and Carolinas Medical Center and volunteering with the Charlotte Missions of Mercy clinic.
Dr. Goodman and his wife, Becky, have two sons.
Dr. Meg Lochary
“Dr. Meg” graduated with honors from the University of Notre Dame. She received her dental degree from the University of North Carolina. She then completed a residency in pediatric dentistry at Columbus Children’s Hospital and a Masters degree at Ohio State University. In 1991, she moved to Weddington and worked as the Section Head of Pediatric Dentistry at Carolinas Medical Center for seven years. In 1995, she received her Board Certification with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
For over 20 years she has been in private practice with Dr. Goodman. She actively volunteers at her church and as dental coordinator of Give Kids a Smile. She teaches residents at Carolinas Medical Center and is the area spokesperson for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Meg is fluent in Spanish and loves treating patients in the language they are most comfortable with. Dr. Meg is married and has three children. She lives on a horse farm in Union County.

Dr. Jason Sperati
“Dr. Jason” received his Bachelor degree in Biology and his dental degree, with honors, from the University of North Carolina in 1996 and 2000, respectively. He then completed a General Practice Residency at Carolinas Medical Center in 2002. In 2004, Dr. Jason completed his Masters degree at Ohio State University and his Pediatric Residency at Columbus Children’s Hospital (now known as Nationwide Children’s Hospital). He was chosen to be Chief Resident at both hospitals at which he completed his residency. In 2011, Dr. Jason achieved board certification with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He maintains active membership in the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry, and the American Dental Association, as well as local dental societies.
Dr. Jason is committed to having fun working with children and making them laugh! He strives to ensure that each dental visit is as positive an experience as possible. In addition to overall pediatric dental care, he has specific interest in the treatment of children with special health care needs and the management of dental trauma. Dr. Jason actively volunteers with Communities In Schools and Charlotte Clean and Green. He and his wife, Colleen, enjoy sports, traveling, gardening & backpacking.
Dr. Jeff Monaco
"Dr Jeff" is originally from North Tonawanda, NY. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in biology from Canisius College in 2010. He attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where he obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2014. After completing his Pediatric Dentistry residency this past June at the University of Rochester Eastman Institute for Oral Health, Dr Jeff decided to head to North Carolina to continue to pursue his lifelong goals and aspirations.
He is incredibly excited to practice pediatric dentistry in North Carolina, where he hopes to help children of all ages have happy and healthy smiles. It is his goal to make every child feel proud of their dental health. He loves to laugh and joke with both children and adults alike, and has a strong passion for working alongside pediatric patients with disabilities and special health care needs. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Society, and American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
When not working, Dr Jeff is a sports enthusiast, an avid golfer, and loves to cheer on his Buffalo Bills every Sunday! Among his future goals are to travel to Africa and to learn to play the piano!
Dr. Sonya Maynor
“Dr. Sonya” received a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University Of Louisville where she held office as Class Vice President, Admissions Committee Officer and representative for Colgate Kids Programs.
Her General Practice Residency training was done at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center in the South Bronx, New York, where she treated underserved minorities in a clinical setting involving all dental procedures, and with an emphasis on oral-maxillofacial procedures, trauma, and post-operative complications. The year following her residency training, she obtained a Special Needs Certificate, initially as Senior Fellow and then as Junior Attending the following year at Helen Hayes Hospital in West Haverstraw, New York. Here, she treated individuals with physical, developmental and psychiatric disabilities in a clinical setting and in the Operating Room via general anesthesia. Her patient population included individuals with mild to the most challenging cases of extreme severe mental and physical disabilities.
She completed an Advanced Education Program in pediatric dentistry at New York University where she held the position of Chief Resident. Pediatric health concerns at the community level were paramount as well as her involvement in several dental global outreach missions to the island of Grenada, where she treated hundreds of school age children. “Dr. Sonya” has taught at the Dental graduate and undergraduate level, served as a Task Force member for the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities, has been involved with the Public Policy Advocacy Conference on Capitol Hill, and a key-note Speaker to the Student National Dental Association graduating class at the University of Tennessee at Memphis. She has worked professionally in private practice and public health and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry and the North Carolina Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Her passion is to provide excellent and comprehensive oral care to children by using a Multi-specialty Care Model because she believes every child should have the opportunity to become a healthy, happy and productive adult.
